Youm Huh, Ph.D.
Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Huh is the Founder, Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of Silicon Mitus. With more than 30 years of experience,
he is a highly acknowledged figure in the South Korean semiconductor industry. He is also the Chairman of the System
Semiconductor Forum of Korea, Vice Chairman of the Korea Semiconductor Industry Association (KSIA), member of the
Asia-Pacific Leadership Council of the Global Semiconductor Alliance (GSA) and senior member of the
National Academy of Engineering Korea (NAEK). The Government of Korea has honored him as one of the
principal contributors to the development of 100 Key Technologies during the last 50 years.
Prior to his current role, Dr. Huh served as Founder and Chief Executive Officer of MagnaChip, Executive Vice President
and General Manager of System IC of SK Hynix, Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of Hyundai
Electronics America and Vice President of Computer Systems Business at Samsung Electronics where he led the
development of the RISC CPU with Hewlett Packard. He received his Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical Engineering from
Stanford University and led the research on VLSI design automation and verification at the Stanford Center for
Integrated Systems. He also holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Seoul National University.
